Georgia
In our Georgia location, we provide Intensive Family Intervention (IFI), a service intended to improve family functioning by clinically stabilizing the living arrangement, promoting reunification or preventing the utilization of out of home therapeutic venues (i.e. psychiatric hospital, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, or residential treatment services) for the identified youth. Services are delivered utilizing a team approach and are provided primarily to youth in their living arrangement and within the family system.
At intervals of about three times per week, our staff will visit with the adolescent in his or her home. We’re there to talk through the individual’s issues, concerns, and difficulties, as well as offer advice on optimizing the patient’s home life to whatever degree is feasible.
Generally, this option or stage of the recovery process is for high-risk individuals and lasts about six months with re-assessment at that time.
We offer:
An assessment and service plan: Service Plan Development provides interventions tailored to our patients’ specific needs, with an Individualized Recovery/Resiliency Plan (IRP) developed based on goals identified by the individual and with the involvement of parent(s)/responsible caregiver(s). The IRP is required within the first 30 days of service and is updated as needed to support resilience.
Crisis Intervention: Crisis Intervention helps individuals manage their symptoms and ensure their safety during an abrupt and substantial change in behavior. It is designed to prevent out-of-home placement or hospitalization by addressing the immediate crisis and developing appropriate links to alternate services. Crisis services are time-limited and present-focused.
Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation, Skill-building: Services are designed to strengthen family relationships, reduce behavioral and emotional challenges, and prevent out-of-home placement by delivering care directly in the home and community through psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and skill-building activities. Clinicians and trained professionals utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, and Motivational Interviewing to help children develop emotional regulation, coping strategies, and problem-solving skills, while empowering caregivers with tools to improve communication, structure, and consistency.
